The perfect gifts DO exist!
Well, well, well, would you look at that! We've reached the end of the year, or rather, the beginning of 2024! Before I dive into this final blog post of the year and wrap up Season 1 of 'The Jesus Experience' (TJE), I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who tunes in and reads my content. Your engagement and feedback mean the world to me, and I take your insights very seriously.
I PROMISE you, Season 2 of TJE is going to be on a whole new level – I guarantee it 😤👀 - or you get your money back! Lol
This blog post will be brief but very informative! I'm excited to share with y’all the three materialistic items that have revolutionarily changed my life – things I simply cannot live without anymore. And who knows, perhaps they could be game-changers for you or someone in your life as well!🤔
No more wasting time! Let's jump right in and begin in chronological order, starting with my water flosser…
Owning a water flosser has genuinely transformed my life in such a positive way, and honestly, I can't imagine my daily routine without it. I've become such a huge advocate for these devices. I firmly believe that everyone should have a water flosser in their bathroom.
You might be wondering, 'Why all the excitement about these things? Why should I consider getting one? Are they really that effective and useful?' Let me share with you the story of how I came to own my very first water flosser...
It all started a few years back. I came home from school one day and had to go to the dentist. I was really hungry, so my mom made me a chicken quesadilla real quick. I was already running late for my appointment, so I ate super fast, brushed my teeth, but totally forgot to floss because I was rushing.
Let me just say real quick, the quesadilla had pulled chicken in it, and for a while, my back molars 🦷 have been kinda sensitive (still are actually). When I eat meat, it gets stuck in my teeth. Flossing helps, but man, it hurts. I had told my dentist about this before.
I promise I floss everyday. Maybe too good?
Okay, getting back to the story... So, I'm at the dentist, right? And they're cleaning my teeth, getting to the flossing part, and my dentist goes, 'Oh wow, there's a lot of meat in here!' I felt so embarrassed and I quickly explained that I had just munched down a chicken quesadilla because I was in a rush. You know when you can see all the gunk they pull out of your teeth? Like, when they’re wiping it on that little towel right in front of you? Well, there was a ton of chicken – it was kinda gross. 🤢
Anyway, I mentioned the pain in my teeth to my dental hygienist again while she was flossing. She suggested I try a water pick. I was desperate for anything that might help, so I was like, 'I guess 🙄' and bought one. And let me tell you, it totally changed my life. Now, I can enjoy meat, even big fat steaks, without worry. Sure, bits still get stuck in my molars, but the water pick gets them out without any pain. And yeah, I still use regular floss too – it's important to do both. If you think regular flossing gets everything, think again. Water flossing catches what you miss. Seriously, if you don't have one, get one! It could be a game-changer, not just for you but maybe for someone else who needs it. And hey, if you’ve been told your breath is hot - it‘s not too late to do something about it!
Just a quick tip – if you decide to invest in one of these bad boys, make sure you pick a good one. Go for a well-known brand with enough power to really get the job done right!
Next up, let's talk about my air purifier...
I think I got my air purifier two or three Christmases ago, and boy, am I thankful for it! I used to constantly complain about how dusty my room was and how I'd sneeze almost every night. So, I did some research on air purifiers to see if they really worked. Once I was convinced, I told my dad that if he was still looking for a gift idea for me, he should just get me this.
These air purifiers are amazing. They trap all sorts of stuff like dust, dirt, and even those pesky small fruit flies! Another huge plus for me is the fan noise. It's super soothing. In the summer, it helps cool down my room, but yeah, in the winter, it does make it a bit colder. But overall, I've noticed a big improvement in both my sleep and the air quality in my room since I got it. I've become so used to it that now, even when I travel, I need to play a 'fan noise' video from YouTube in the background to sleep well.
Next on my list are my Brooks running/walking shoes!
Oh man, spending over $200 on these shoes was the BEST decision I've ever made! And I'm totally planning to do it again soon! See, I didn't view this as just splurging money on shoes. To me, it was an investment in myself and my health. My girlfriend and I bought these at Roadrunner Shoes in Kent Station. Honestly, that store might just be the best thing Kent Station has to offer. For those who live around here and know Kent, when's the last time you actually shopped clothing and accessories at Kent Station?
A couple months back my girlfriend and I were just wandering around the store, trying to kill time with no intention of spending money. But before we knew it, we were taking off our shoes, slipping off our socks, and hopping on a treadmill to find the perfect shoes and insoles for our daily lives. I have zero regrets – the entire experience was totally free, no strings attached. But the moment I slipped on the shoes and insoles the staff recommended, I was sold! There was no way I was walking out without buying them. Even my girlfriend, who was skeptical about the whole thing and the price, changed her mind as soon as she tried them on and felt the difference. It's almost like walking on clouds! Not literally, but any foot pain or discomfort just vanishes. Like, I've been having this annoying pain in the middle of my foot, but when I wear these shoes – boom – the pain disappears!
I absolutely love these shoes and insoles! They're so comfy that I'm planning to take my parents to get a pair each for Christmas. They're big on walking, and I just know these would be the perfect gifts for them, plus they're great for their health too.
Honestly, I think the real magic is in the insoles, but these shoes have been a total game changer for me. I now actually enjoy running on the treadmill, my hikes are more comfortable, and they’re just perfect for everyday wear, even when I have to stand a lot (my feet don’t get tired at all!).
That’s all from me today, folks. I hope my experiences with these items inspire you to give them a try. Who knows, maybe they'll change your life just like they did mine! If you have any questions about the items – like brands, prices, or where to get them – don't hesitate to reach out.
As always, thanks a ton for reading. Happy holidays and a happy new year!
